For more than a century, Bayfront Medical Center, a 502-bed, private, not-for-profit, teaching hospital located in St. Petersburg, has responded to the healthcare needs of people in West Central Florida. Bayfront – Pinellas County’s sole trauma center – is recognized as one of the largest employers in Pinellas County with about 2,500 employees throughout the health system.
The hospital’s Bayflite medical emergency helicopters bring life-saving trauma care to thousands in a 15-county region. Bayfront is also one of the state’s busiest accredited Adult-Pediatric Trauma Centers.
