ST. PETERSBURG - It was only last year that Bayfront’s Trauma ICU team joined the elite list of hospitals to receive the Beacon Award for Critical Care Excellence from the American Association of Critical Care Nurses. Now Bayfront’s CVICU team has joined the ranks by receiving the prestigious award as well.

After spending months working on the application to demonstrate the quality of care they provide, the team was named a winner along with several others across the country. The Beacon Award recognizes critical care teams for excellence in quality and compassionate care.

“Our CVICU team is comprised of some of the most experienced cardiac care professionals,” said CVICU Nurse Manager Joanne Swanick. “The Beacon Award recognizes the dedication and expertise that we put forth every day.”
