ST. PETERSBURG - An idea that started at Bayfront about four years ago is now shared with nurses across the nation.

Pharmacist Jeff Bush and ICU Nurse Educator Anthie Riddle recently had an article published in the American Association of Critical Care Nurses’ Critical Care Nurse magazine.

The article, entitled “Alcohol Withdrawal in Critically Ill Patients,” written by Anthie and Jeff, highlights a new set of standing orders that they created to treat alcohol withdrawal patients in the acute care setting. The new standing orders help determine the amount of medication given to the patient.
